When I first heard of it, I let it slip by me because I was still enamored with building. I know, I am somewhat challenged when it comes to the web. It took me a while to realize that there was more to the world wide web than meets the eye. There is a lot of those also and they can definitely consume all your time but, if I remember right, blogging held my attention the longest because there is something about writing that attracts me. I am not claiming that I am good at it but the desire to write is there. Who cares that there were no followers. Writing was all I needed to keep me well content. Well, for a bit, anyway. I got bored doing the same old things, namely, writing and blogging, or more importantly, I ran out of subject matters to opine about. I required a change to keep from going looney tunes and I turned my focus on other things like locating readers. So I turned my attention to social bookmarking. Nothing hard-core, just light stuff like, how does it work and plain and simple things like that. The wonderful thing with social bookmarking sites is that it is is no rocket science. You sign up and submit your sites and they accept it. Then the magic begins. Search engines find your sites and rank them. cool! I have had a site rank in number one on Google’s search pages after I submitted it to a few social bookmarking sites.
